Bengali Cultural and Social Club
Durga Puja remains the most auspicious social, cultural and religious festival of Bengal and I on behalf of Bengali Cultural and Social Club warmly welcome you all to celebrate our this year’s Puja with affection, great devotion and enthusiasm.
Goddess Durga accompanied by her divine children – daughters Laxmi and Saraswati and sons Kartik and Ganesha comes to visit us for four days every year to fill our hearts and our homes with abundance of happiness and joy. We gather together to rejoice, celebrate this gift that we have received and spread the goodwill to whole of our society and to all the communities with whom we share our activities.
This year we are celebrating our Puja at a new venue – The Old Parkonians Hall – which you will agree is set in a beautiful green and open surrounding with ample car parking facility. I thank the Old Parkonians Association for allowing us to hold our this festival in their hall for five days. I particularly thank Mr Shirley Beal, the Pavilion Manager for his kind help, advice and cooperation through out the year. For example the wooden screen in the hall is designed and built by Shirley to meet our need.
I also thank all the executive members, Puja committee members, founder members, patrons, advertisers of our excellent brochure who have all helped to make this joyous festival a great success.
I, finally, extend my grateful thanks to you all for being here and participating in our programme with such devotion.
Jai Ma Durga
